A Walterville store got the same notice just a few months before, but was spared at the last moment. INVESTIGATIVE: Local Company Sues Columbia Sportswear (Package, shot and edited) A local company alleges Columbia Sportswear Corporation stole its trade secrets. Columbia representatives made the trek down from Portland to Eugene to take part in a court ordered settlement meeting with owner of the Eugene-based company, Innovative Sports. INVESTIGATIVE (Sweeps Piece): Handling Homelessness Across the Country (Long-form package, shot and edited) One doesn't need to go very far to find signs of homelessness in Eugene. Panhandlers seemingly stand guard at just about every corner. To get a better understanding of the situation here, I traveled to and spoke with folks in other cities to see how Eugene compares when it comes to dealing with the societal issue of homelessness.
